The city parks and recreation seminars are an opportunity to learn a broad range of photography skills with an emphasis on professional techniques.  Concepts covered during the seminars include:  setting up your camera correctly, choosing a camera system (bodies and lenses), understanding light and exposure, shooting in difficult lighting conditions, rules of composition, adjusting images for the web and for e-mailing, correct cropping techniques, using tripods and other equipment choices, using fill-flash in portraiture, and many other principles of nature photography.  The seminars also cover many advanced concepts in portraiture, nature, and wildlife photography such as the use of props, hyperfocal distance, animal craft, focusing on the eyes, using foreground elements in landscapes, shooting in RAW, selective focus, etc.  Learn how to process digital images on your computer, portrait retouching, digital printing, archiving images, and other related techniques involved in getting the most from your digital images.
