You will notice there are two safaris
during this week that run Sat-Tue, then Wed-Sat. I expect both
these safaris to be full so booking early will be important.
This is the magical week to be in Yellowstone. The grass is
greening and wildlife mothers are producing milk for the thousands
of baby animals that have been born. Activity is at a peak for
the other wildlife parents as well who hunt for their litters.
Grizzly and black bear cubs, coyote pups, fox kits, bison and elk
calves, bighorn lambs, mule deer and pronghorn fawns, and a plethora
of other baby animals are possible subjects during this brief period
in spring.
The bottom line is Yellowstone delivers the greatest wildlife
photography experiences in North America. I've shot over 500
days in the park and know just about every possible location, time,
and road to be on to cross paths with these animals.
Reservations
We meet in Gardiner, Montana just outside the northwest entrance to
Yellowstone, just 5 miles north of Mammoth Hot Springs the night
before the safari begins for some orientation.
Discounts apply to past safari attendees, as well as for those who
would like to do both safaris. Non-photography spouses are
welcome.
