Southern Utah is one of the premier photo locations in all the world.  From St. George we shoot the Beaver Dam Mountains and Snow Canyon State Park.  A little farther away is Leeds Creek and Gooseberry Mesa, and just past those spots are Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks.

To the south we have the Toroweap area of the Grand Canyon, Sidestep Canyon in Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, and a bit farther east is Monument Valley.  Each location offers something different and unique, and its not until the time of the safari that the exact locations we travel to will be known. But the days will be full of great photography. Weather and road conditions come into play as some spots are down long dirt roads.

Not only is this area known for its dramatic landscapes, but also for the varied wildlife, cactus, and wildflowers that are found here.  You can look at more of the images from my 2011 safari blog articles.  Here is a link to last years safari blog - LINK.

Reservations

We meet in St. George, Utah on Friday night, May 4th, 2012.  Hotel costs are low and there are good restaurants throughout the area.
