The orchards of the San Joaquin Valley
put on an amazing color show when the warming temperatures of spring
bring the annual bloom to the trees. Northern Tulare County
and southern Fresno County are famous for their "Blossom Trail", a
car route that takes you through some of the valley's best color.
We travel that route and others throughout the day photographing the
colorful orchards.
From wide orchard shots to macro images showing the interior of
individual flowers, this is an opportunity to photograph the
beginning of the agricultural season in all its glory.
I do five agricultural safaris each year, the four others being
half-day workshops, trying to time them to the ripening crops, but
this is by far the most spectacular in terms of visual beauty.
Reservations
We meet in Kingsburg, California at 7:30am to begin the photography.
The flowers are opening and dew is covering many of them, though a
spray water bottle is handy to help out.
