Nectarines - Tulare County

Ripe Peach - Tulare County

Ripening Grapes - Tulare County

Tulare County is the center of the agricultural universe.  In any direction you travel there are orchards of plums, peaches,  nectarines, cherries, walnuts, pecans, olives, pistachios, etc.  There are fields of cotton, corn, tomatoes, barley, pumpkins, etc.  And there are vineyards growing nearly every type of grape - wine, table, juice, and raisins.

When I first moved to Tulare I had never photographed agriculture in any way - it was a completely new experience for me.  But I came to realize quickly that Ag photography is just as fascinating as shooting landscapes or macro or anything else in nature.

Since I began shooting Ag I've sold hundreds of fine art images to local businesses and have come to appreciate the beauty found in our local fields, orchards, and vineyards.  Gardening knee pads are a must for this half-day workshop.

Reservations

We meet at my house in Tulare at 7am.  We travel throughout Tulare County looking for agricultural subjects to photograph - fields, orchards, and vineyards.
