Photo Restoration
Taking old, damaged, faded photographs and restoring them to
their original look. After correcting the flaws in old images
- we can print them or burn them to a CD for your personal use in
websites, albums, wallpaper, or other digital and printed uses.

Images like this are carefully scanned. It might take a
number of scans before getting the best possible image
resolution and contrast from the existing photograph.
Then the image is color-corrected (this image was returned to
its original Sepia-toned coloration), contrast and sharpness
are improved - then the image goes through a painstakingly
slow process of retouching that removes the damage and returns
the photo to as near its original quality as possible.
Cost is determined by the size of the image,
damage to the image, the estimated time for retouching, and
the number of prints ordered from the image. The image
is then burned to a CD for archival use and the CD, ordered
enlargements, and the original photograph are returned to you. |
Inserting Individuals and Families

Insertions have become more common as families
get more spread out, family missionaries are serving, and other
kids are in college. Its not always possible to get
everybody together in one place and time. I've inserted
individuals, a number of separate individuals, as well as small
families of 4 or 5 people. How is this possible?
Digital photography has opened up a whole world of possibilities
for those skilled enough to do a professional job of insertions.
Right now I do insertions in about 15% to 20% of my family
shoots. Nothing can mean more to grandparents than having
everybody in the family image. All it takes now is a
decent photograph and a couple hours of time. |
Digital Artwork
| Digital Artwork is the addition of graphical
elements into a photograph to make it stand out or to be unique.
This can be done by putting several photos into one larger
photo, adding borders, titles, names and dates. It can
also be done through the compilation of individual images into
one "master" image - a process normally scene in family
photography. Below is an example of some of these
elements. |
